At the end of the day.

I've been at work all day but was met with a cup of hot tea on my return by Luke and once we'd let Shakira from the cage that is her broody box to be reunited with Buck Bucky (who is showing signs of loneliness by mooching on the perch all day) we sat out in the only bit of sunshine we've had all day and enjoyed watching the chickens pecking around the garden. Of course, Jack's cat, Socks came trotting around too and rubbed her head on the edge of the steamer chair whilst we talked about the fence we've got to erect. I found some canes to stake up the drooping delphiniums and after doing a quick tour of the greenhouse to marvel at the way tiny tendrils pull themselves up canes to make tall cucumber plants I admired my Shasta daisies and new plants Where other girls collect shoes I love the thrill of a beautiful plant. One size fits all.
