Oh my goodness, what sunny weather we've had - just one week"s worth but how well everything responds to the light and warmth.
Agapanthus, Lupins and Ariculas all have basked in the warmth of a June day..., the pink Lupins are on a wonk courtesy of two naughty hens who find great delight in scratching at the base of them. Twice now I have bedded the roots back in and shooed chickens away but I'm obviously not vigilant enough as each time I look another plant has been dug up.
I've put chicken wire around the raspberry patch too, the girls have been ripping off the leaves to eat as part of their five a day.
Is nothing safe?
